I loved Italy. Very often I find myself wanting to go back to this beautiful place. Not only I had the chance to visit Venice but I also visited the beautiful Amalfi Coast!
SORRENTO

This town is beautiful. I only had one night and half day in Sorrento and I wish I had more. One of the first things I did when I arrived was to visit the terrace by the Villa Comunale, a park near the monastery of San Francesco. The park is directly above the Marina Grande. I would recommend watching the sunset from there. Near Villa Comunale it is the center city area where you will find several shops with local souvenirs and restaurants.

POSITANO

You can get to Positano from Sorrento by bus or by ferry. I took the bus but I don`t recommend this option. The bus can get really crowded and if you are not there early or willing to wait in line for the next bus there is a chance you will be standing the whole ride. I did not mind standing but the ride made me sick because of the really narrow and spiral roads. The views are beautiful but I preferred the ferry which I used to leave Positano back to Sorrento.
Positano is one of my favorite places in the world. The colorful houses contrasting with the blue ocean is beautiful and you want to take pictures all the time. To get to places in Positano you will be going up and down the stairs all the time, it is a good thing if you want to burn some calories from all the delicious food you are eating in Italy. On my first day there I visited the Fornillo Beach which is less crowded than the the Spiaggia Grande beach. I went to Positano in the beginning of May so the beach did not have a lot of people (perfect). I rented a beach chair and spent the whole afternoon just relaxing.
Tip: there are two restaurants on the beach that you can order take out. I ordered some pizza and ate on my beach chair. Living my best life!
I only stayed in Positano for a day and two nights. This city is for you to relax, walk around and admire the beautiful views. I was lucky to find an Airbnb with a great terrace and a beautiful view. I totally recommend getting a place with a view to the ocean, that will make your experience even more magical.

RAVELLO

In order to get to Ravello I had to take the ferry from Positano to a town called Almalfi. I just visited the Amalfi Cathedral which looks nice from the outside but the inside is not very impressive in my humble opinion. I walked around town for a little bit before taking the bus to get to Ravello. You can take the bus at the main square in Almalfi.
When I got to Ravello my first stop was the gardens at Villa Rufolo. The garden is beautiful and I totally recommend the visit. I also visited Villa Cimbrone , a private five-star hotel with open gardens to the public that ranks as one of the most memorable views on the Amalfi Coast.

On the last lag of my trip I visited the Capri Island . Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience at this little island. I like to talk about the things that went wrong so maybe others can avoid my mistakes :). To get to Capri Island I took the ferry from Positano . When I got to Capri around 11 am the port was already really crowded. My plan was to visit the famous Blue Grotto first thing. I bought tour to the grotto online but you can also buy a ticket when you get to the port, there are several selling booths. It was a 20 minutes ride to the grotto. When we got there it was already a long wait to get inside the grotto. The guide mentioned at least 1 hour to get in. We where in the middle of the ocean inside a small boat so I decided to not wait and went back to Capri.
Tip: If you wish to visit the grotto it is recommended to get there really early or be willing to wait.
After spending the day by the beach in Capri I decided to stay the night. At night I was surprised that all restaurants were closed by 10 pm. It took some effort to find a restaurant and there were only a few options open at that time.
I also visited the Monte Solaro in Anacapri, the highest and most panoramic point on the island. The best way to get there is by taking the chairlift from Piazza Vittoria. Unfortunately, the day I went was foggy so I could not see anything haha hence no pictures to show you. As you can see, Capri did not bring me luck. At least I got to have one of the best Gelatos at the Buonocore Gelateria.
I finished my trip back in Sorrento with a bus tour by City Sightseeing . It was really nice to explore Sorrento a little more and this tour is the perfect way to do that if you don`t have too much time. I took the ferry from Sorrento to Naples to catch my flight.

The Amalfi Coast was beautiful and I hope to go back one day!
